Ostrich eggs can be shipped as singles or doubles ONLY. We would love to save you money on shipping but we are not able to ship more than two per box. A box large enough to hold three eggs ends up getting boxes stacked on it during transit and it crushes the outer box risking damage to the inner boxes.

We ship Monday through Wednesday, depending on when the hens lay, the weather and estimated transit time.

We prefer to ship ostrich eggs via the UPS method that gets them to you in less than 5 days. The option is available for expedited at an additional charge. UPS does not have x-ray equipment so there is no possibility your eggs will be exposed during transit. You don't want your food irradiated whenever possible.

It is highly advised that west coast customers take the optional upgrade to UPS 2-Day Shipping, especially during the high heat summer months.
Delayed Shipments

Eggs are shipped across multiple states and transferred from truck to truck. Sometimes it isn’t even the right truck. The postal service can take longer than expected and there is no guarantee unless you use Priority Mail Express (the most expensive option). There were numerous shipping delays in 2024 with USPS so we highly recommend UPS.

Damaged Shipments

We go above and beyond with our packaging to make sure your eggs have the best chance to survive the journey. Should they arrive damaged we will work with you and the shipping company to get the issue resolved.

Your Part:

Take pictures of the box when delivered and save the packaging. You will need to send us the pictures of the box and save the packaging to take to UPS. You don't always have to take the package but save it until the situation is resolved.

Our Part:

We will file the claim with UPS and provide the documentation required.
Items shipped UPS come with automatic coverage up to $100 against loss or damage at no additional charge.

Items shipped USPS Priority come with automatic coverage up to $100 against LOSS ONLY. The package must actually be lost in order for it to be covered. We have had them cover crushed packages before but photos were required.

You can buy 3rd Party insurance for an additional fee. The program covers loss, damage, general average loss, and more. Insurance rates very depending on package value and service used. Please contact us if you are interested in this additional coverage.
