The Black Copper Marans Rooster is the cornerstone of a dark egg and olive breeding program. Hatched from our dark lines like the eggs pictured we maintain two different breeding groups of Marans, solid and speckled.
 
These are purebred and NOT a hybrid. We do not make determinations as to SOP at this age. However, we will not sell a bird with an obvious disqualification including yellow on the shanks or toes, white ear lobes, feathers on the middle or inner toes. We don't usually see these issues anyway.
 
Any roosters that appear to be aggressive or lacks the vigor we want to see in our program are culled. We have no control over how the rooster will integrate into your flock once it leaves our farm.

We RARELY offer an older rooster as we reserve them as backups if the primary rooster is determined not to be sufficient for our breeding program.
 
We feed our animals only the best chemical free certified organic feed.

Pick Up
Local pick up is available at the Tractor Supply in Northport, Alabama or Fayette, Alabama. You can message us to arrange a time to meet. We usually do Northport meetups after 4 pm.
 
Meet Up
We are regularly on the move in the Southeast and frequent Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia. Contact us if you would like to try and meet up in one of these locations. We also have confirmed dates on a pinned post on Facebook.
 
Transport
We will work with and recommend a transport company. We are not responsible for your experience or outcome.
 
Shipping
Shipping will need to be billed separately prior to shipping. Shipping can range between $35 - $150 depending on location. We are not able to ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico or Michigan.
 
We do NOT guarantee shipped birds. You assume all risk with shipped adult birds. They will be sent USPS Priority Mail Express in an approved shipping box. We will include hydrogel and sliced vegetables for the trip and check the weather carefully and be sure the bird makes the morning truck but that is the extent of what we can do.
 
Returns
Due to the nature of the product we are unable to accept returns.
