We breed this line specifically for the darkest chocolate eggs we can get. Hens that lay lighter brown eggs are removed from this line to ensure only the darkest of egg layers.
We can save the darkest eggs over the course of a month and post a picture of a dozen really dark chocolate eggs. While this can make for an interesting picture to showcase the best of the best that isn't what we have included here. The fact is, the color varies between molts from the same bird. We will send you chicks hatched from the darkest eggs we find in the nest box.
