One Dozen Guinea Fowl Eggs

Guinea fowl eggs are distinct from chicken, duck and other poultry eggs primarily due to their smaller size, thicker shells, and higher protein density. While they are visually similar to chicken eggs, they are light brown to cream-colored with speckles, have a pointer shape, and require more force to crack open. 2 to 3 guinea eggs are needed to equal 1 large chicken egg by volume. Due to different protein structures, some individuals with chicken egg allergies may tolerate guinea eggs, though medical consultation is required.
