Does Organic Taste Different?

A woman asks me why spend more on organic, does it taste better?
In short, it can but that’s not why.
I used to tell people that I choose organic because I don’t like pesticides in my food. As a known carcinogen I want chemical free food. Now I have to add its because I don’t want human waste in my food.
Yep, known as bio sludge, it’s when waste water treatment plants take everything flushed down the toilet and mix it with the debris you leave by the road and grind it all together. This includes the feminine hygiene products, condoms, liquid cremation of human remains, narcotics, hormones, micro plastics and whatever anyone flushed down the toilet. This includes the forever chemicals known as PFAS. Putting these products on the land forever contaminates it.
I hear “but surely this is safe, right?” or “surely I’m not buying this at my local hardware store.” It’s not safe, the EPA was condemning farm land and banning food production on those properties that had been sprayed with bio sludge. When they realized how much land had been sprayed they stopped testing. They still do this knowing how toxic it is. Check out Dillo Dirt out of Austin Texas bagged for local pick up to add to your garden this summer. It doesn't end there, my state capital sprayed it on land, harvested it for hay and then sold to local farmers to feed their livestock.
You can’t use bio sludge under the USDA Certified Organic seal. As a side note, dirt can’t be certified so all packs of soil you see at Walmart can put it on their label as just “organic” and include whatever they want.
We get our garden soil from our animals the bulk comes from our rabbits who are fed a certified organic feed. We don’t give our animals the municipal water either because the treatment process can’t filter out the hormones, parabens, and endocrine-disrupting compounds in the water. In fact, we don’t even have a municipal water connection.
Located in West Central Alabama we will continue our pursuit of a Chem Free Life where we produce eggs and USDA processed meat from chickens, guineas, turkeys, geese and lamb meat.
